Ductile Iron Piles...

...a breakthrough in

deep foundation engineering...

Ductile Iron Piling System Philippines Corp. (DIPSPH) is a design and supply company specializing in the application of ductile iron piles. The system is a breakthrough in deep foundation engineering and is very new in the Philippines and in Asia. We specialize in delivering innovative, efficient, and cost-effective deep foundation solutions tailored to the unique challenges of each project.

Ductile Iron Piling System (DIPS) is a displacement pile system that utilizes modular ductile iron pipe piles. These piles are installed using an excavator equipped with a hydraulic hammer and a specially designed adapter.

Due to its unique graphite-rich microstructure, ductile iron effectively absorbs and dissipates impact energy, reducing stress concentrations and minimizing the risk of brittle failure—unlike steel, which transmits shock more directly during hydraulic hammer driving.

We have cooperation with specialized contractors for the installation of the ductile iron piles.

The ductile iron piles are manufactured by Tiroler Rohre GmbH, located in the alpine region of Austria.

The system is an innovative development in deep foundation engineering, offering economic option to bored piles, driven piles, micropiles and helical piles.

WHY CHOOSE DUCTILE IRON PILES?

VERY FAST

Plug and Drive

PLUG & DRIVE: The “Plug & Drive®” system enables rapid installation of a single position in just 30 to 40 minutes.

MINIMAL & LIGHTWEIGHT MOBILIZATION: With only an excavator, its attachments, and—if required by design—a grout pump needed for installation, the DIP system enables rapid deployment and requires minimal site setup.

RAPID PROJECT TURNOVER: Depending on the project scale, the site can be completed and turned over within just one to several weeks, thanks to the system’s fast-track execution.

VERSATILE

BEARING CAPACITY: Varying cross-sectional dimensions offer axial capacity from 550kN to 2300kN, replacing large diameter bored pile with two or multiple ductile iron pile positions.

FLEXIBLE LENGTH ADJUSTMENT: Modular sections allow easy pile length adjustment on-site to match varying soil conditions up to hard/very dense and rock-type layers.

TENSION AND COMPRESSION DESIGN: DIPS provides robust resistance to alternating tension-compression forces, making them ideal for structures exposed to dynamic or fluctuating loads—such as bridges, retaining walls, wind turbine foundations, and solar panel supports—where uplift, vibration, or cyclic loading are present.

VERTICAL AND RAKED ORIENTATION: The excavator’s slewing mechanism and boom articulation allow for flexible positioning, enabling the installation of piles in both vertical and raked alignments to meet design requirements for lateral load resistance.

GROUTED PILE VARIANT: The grouted variant of the DIP system provides significantly enhanced skin friction, allowing for a more economical pile design by reducing the required pile length.

ECONOMICAL

CAPITAL INVESTMENT: Minimal capital investment for contractors of deep foundation.

AFFORDABLE DEEP FOUNDATION ALTERNATIVE: By employing the Ductile Iron Piling System (DIPS), owners are relieved of the typically disproportionate deep foundation costs that burden small projects.

TIME-SAVING SOLUTION: Exceptional project turnaround speed for contractors and clients—ensuring your projects move efficiently from concept to completion, because we understand that every minute counts.

SITE ADVANTAGES

Limited Access & Difficult Terrain
LIMITED ACCESS & DIFFICULT TERRAIN

On project sites with challenging terrain—whether due to steep slopes, natural obstacles, remote isolation with limited supply access, or constrained urban environments—the DIP system offers an ideal solution, as long as an excavator can access and operate within the area.

Limited Overhead Clearance
LIMITED OVERHEAD CLEARANCE

The DIP system overcomes the challenges of underpinning and foundation works within confined structures. Its modular pile sections can be cut and rejoined using couplers, while the excavator’s flexible boom enables installation even in low-headroom environments.

Constrained Sites
CONSTRAINED SITES

Urban development constraints have rendered some properties undevelopable due to highly restricted space for traditional deep foundation requirements. This is solved by DIP system’s minimal equipment requirements and compact mobilization footprint.

Adjacent Structures
ADJACENT STRUCTURES

The low-vibration driving process minimizes the risk of damage to nearby structures, allowing foundations to be placed safely 0.5m from the property line and optimizing property usage.
